Horses never forget, but they always forgive.

Horses are both herd and prey animals. The combination of self-preservation instinct and companion-centeredness gives horses a relatable world view. Since we first domesticated them thousands of years ago, humans have related to and admired the disposition of the horse.

A young horse develops social skills early on, and establishes life-long bonds with other horses in their herd. They are cautious of new experiences and they learn quickly from bad ones. One of the finest natural qualities of the horse is that they never forget, but they always forgive.

When we treat horses with kindness and fairness, they learn to trust us. We develop a partnership with them, and they willingly allow us to climb onto their back and share the freedom and strength that nature gave them. We become a part of their herd, and they become a part of our family.

Let a horse be your partner, and guide you on the journey of conquering apprehension and fear.
